Vacation Bible School

The community is invited to go to Camp Mennoscah, near Murdock, KS for grades 1-8.  The 7th and 8th grade have a sweat camp. This is a great place to fellowship with your friends and learn more about Jesus. There are plenty of activites provided. Canoeing, swimming pool and trails.  The food is delicious! Make plans for next year to attend Bible School.  This year's Bible School committee: Faith Penner, Bob Yates, and Joel Gerber.

 

 Hearts to Hands Ministry

List of opportunities in the community and within the church family: General fix it jobs; Childcare; Financial; Meals; Skilled Labor; Auto Mechanics; House cleaning, counseling, sewing, and encouragement. Hearts to Hands is based on scripture from I John 3: 17, 18.  Some of the activities that hearts to hands puts on are: Picnic in the Park, after the Bible Camp, the annual Free Car Wash, and Rake-and-Run.

 

Rake-N-Run

This event usually takes place in the fall.  Everyone who owns a rake is invited to join in the fun.  Even if you don't own a rake, please join in  to help rake yards for those who are elderly or disabled in our community. 

  

Annual Cookie Walk

This was started in December of 1997 by the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Women's group, now called Piecemakers. This event is held in December.  Choose from a variety of cookies and pay a small price for a box of homemade cookies

 

 Acts of Random Kindness

In August of 07 the Outreach Committee sponsored a free car wash for the community.  There is also an ongoing house rehabilitation project going on in the community of Harper.
