When to arrive:

If it's your first visit then it's probably best to turn up around 10:20 am.  If you are driving then you'll be pleased to hear that there is plenty of parking.  You'll be greeted at the door by our welcoming team who will give you some information about the church.

What to wear:

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.  There is no need to dress up.  We accept people as they are.

What to expect:

For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit  of a nerve-racking experience.  To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Pleasant Valley.  You'll find our church a friendly bunch.  We start our service at 10:30 am.  We welcome everyone and then we  have  introduction of guests.  Don't worry if you don't feel comfortable about being  introduced, we won't force you to do this.  Then we have announcements about what is going on at Pleasant Valley this week. The music is a mix of traditional hymns with piano and organ and praise and worship songs with guitars and drums.  We then read from the scriptures and our pastor talks about how we can relate to the scriptures in everyday life.  Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the morning.  We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.

What we believe:

Jesus Christ is central to worship and to everyday living.  Behavior is to follow Christ's example.  The Bible is considered the inspired word of God.

Is it just Sundays?

Absoulutely not!  God is with us all week long. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do.   On Tuesday nights, we have twilight quilting.  On Wednesday mornings we have Piecemakers, a quilting fellowship.  Wednesday evenings we have our two Youth groups (junior high and high school age) meet to discuss various topics.  Also Wednesday evenings our choir has practice.
